McLaren is going all-in for 2027. With its eyes firmly locked on achieving motorsport’s legendary Triple Crown in a single season, the brand is inviting a handful of select owners to do more than spectate. Through the new Project: Endurance, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing are offering a chance to own a true Le Mans Hypercar, developed in parallel with its official FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) entry.
This isn’t some watered-down road car dressed in race trim. It’s the real deal—born from the same DNA, built to the same technical specification, and backed by the same motorsport pedigree. It’s powered by a race-developed V6 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain driving the rear wheels, constructed in partnership with the legendary chassis engineers at Dallara—the same firm behind INDYCAR’s race machines.
Only a limited number of customer cars will be built, and each is more than just a hypercar. It’s a ticket into the inner circle of McLaren’s WEC Hypercar campaign.
“McLaren Racing’s return to the FIA World Endurance Championship marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us. We have a rich history in the sport together with McLaren Automotive, having raced and won on our first attempt at Le Mans in 1995. This customer programme will offer buyers an incredible chance to own an authentic race car and get closer to the action on track.” – Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing

Beyond Ownership: Immersion
Project: Endurance customers won’t just receive the keys to a hypercar—they’ll gain direct, behind-the-scenes access to McLaren’s 2027 LMDh program. This includes trackside involvement during development, access to the technical team, integration with race operations, and even presence at major endurance events.
It’s a level of engagement rarely granted outside the team garage.
McLaren’s sights are set high: winning at Monaco, Indy, and Le Mans in the same year. With Le Mans being the crown jewel of endurance racing, Project: Endurance customers will have a seat in the arena as the factory squad battles for victory.
Track Time, Elevated
As part of the ownership experience, every Project: Endurance car is enrolled in a two-year McLaren track programme. These events span some of the world’s most iconic circuits and are fully supported by McLaren’s engineering team. Each participant benefits from arrive-and-drive convenience, personal pit crew, race engineer support, and professional driver coaching to sharpen skills behind the wheel of a machine built to endure 24-hour battles.

A Collector’s Dream, A Driver’s Fantasy
The 2027 Le Mans Hypercar is more than an exotic collector’s piece—it’s a fully functional, race-bred weapon designed for those who want to engage, not observe. For the few who secure a spot in Project: Endurance, the experience extends far beyond track days or garage displays. It’s about entering the heartbeat of motorsport and contributing to a campaign that could rewrite McLaren’s legacy.
This is motorsport immersion taken to its absolute limit. For those with the means and the passion, Project: Endurance isn’t just a car—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chapter in racing history.
