Radford is strengthening its luxury coachbuilding and craftsmanship capabilities to personally guide clients through the process of bespoking a new Radford Type 62-2, ahead of the first deliveries later this year.

The British luxury coachbuilding brand is strengthening its leadership in owner experience and customisation with the creation of two new roles: Head of Customisation and Head of Client Experience who will be responsible for the client journey and one-to-one client liaison.

The new Head of Customisation is Ben Saltmer who is joining Radford from Aston Martin, and formerly Bentley, where he had held a similar role. Reporting directly to CEO Dan Burge, he will lead on the collaborative and creative process of developing every single bespoke customer design, from idea to realisation, during a period of rapid growth for the company as they prepare to fulfil deliveries of owners’ first Radford Type 62-2 models. Saltmer will work with all Radford’s clients on a one-to-one basis to design a unique and highly bespoke interior and exterior finish for every single Radford supercar.

British luxury coachbuilder, Radford, has appointed experts in bespoke client experience as Radford Type 62-2 nears customer deliveries

The newly created Head of Client Experience role is being assumed by James Tidmarsh, who has a long history in the luxury and automotive sector. Also reporting directly to the CEO, he is responsible for managing Radford’s global customer base, working alongside colleagues to ensure delivery of the full and finest Radford experience.

These two additional roles are key to the growth of Radford and especially at this pivotal point where we have started producing the Type 62-2 for our healthy client base. We have already been working on the specification of the first customer cars, which will be delivered later this year, and I’m delighted that Ben Saltmer will now be taking the baton on this strategically important aspect of the business. He has an impressive background in the bespoke design of luxury vehicles and our owners will benefit hugely both from his creativity and attention to detail.

“Our customers also expect the very best and I’m also hugely pleased that James Tidmarsh is joining as Head of Client Experience. He will ensure that the Radford customer journey is unique, second to none, and a truly personal, bespoke experience.” – Dan Burge, CEO, Radford

The announcement of the new roles comes after Radford held its first owner experience day, where clients had the chance to get the latest developments on the progress of the build, a full engineering deep-dive and see a Type 62-2 being tested to the limits on a circuit, in the hands of Radford co-owner, Jenson Button.

Radford is creating 62 contemporary luxury commissions true to the classic timeless design of the stunning original Lotus Type 62 from the 1960s – bringing a modern and relevant version of coachbuilding to a new discerning clientele.
