Mecum On Time, the online-exclusive auction platform, is celebrating NASCAR’s 75th anniversary with the presentation of two auctions that offer racing fans an exceptional opportunity to feed their passion and capture the spirit of NASCAR through fine art and other signed collectible works that capture the essence of the world-famous competition. The Celebrating 75 Years of NASCAR Legends and the NASCAR Fine Art Collection are live now and accepting bids from enthusiasts and art connoisseurs alike, presenting an opportunity to own a piece of racing heritage tracing NASCAR’s evolution from dusty tracks to the grand race it is today.

The Celebrating 75 Years of NASCAR collection offers an unprecedented selection of 174 lots, featuring artwork that immortalizes iconic race cars that defined generations, Mac Tools and other memorabilia that represent the enthusiasm NASCAR has kept alive among fans for decades. Featured lots from this collection include several Richard Petty offerings, including a 1992 Richard Petty race car print, No. 47 of 1,000, signed by both the artist and Richard Petty (Lot NS0378), as well as a Kenny Bernstein print, No. 439 of 500, signed by the artist and Kenny Bernstein (Lot NS0379). The collection closes for bidding on Oct. 17.

Among the 41 lots from the NASCAR Fine Art Collection are artworks signed by drivers Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace and Jeff Gordon, as well as no fewer than three original pieces created and signed by celebrated artist Sam Bass. “The Magnificent Seven” (Lot CH0019), arguably one of the most famous pieces by the artist, features the image of Dale Earnhardt in celebration of his seven NASCAR Cup Championships, and an untitled painting commissioned by GM/Chevrolet (Lot CH0001) highlights Chevrolet’s on-track force in 1995 by Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Terry Labonte, Sterling Marlin, Kyle Petty and Harry Gant. The third piece by Bass is titled “Tribute” (Lot CH0005) and depicts Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 Du Pont Chevrolet and Dale Earnhardt’s No. 3 Goodwrench Chevrolet at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, thanking Winston for its 33 years as a sponsor of the NASCAR Cup series. The image was used as the program cover for that year’s UAW/GM 500 Fall race weekend.

The NASCAR Fine Art Collection also includes a limited edition original print, No. 48 of 500, (Lot CH0030) by Artist Gary Hill, which was commissioned by Chevrolet and GM Goodwrench Service Plus, featuring Dale Earnhardt in the Richard Childress GM Goodwrench Monte Carlo en route to victory in the 1998 Daytona 500. A Certificate of Authenticity is included with the painting that is signed by Dale Earnhardt, Richard Childress and Larry McReynolds. Bidding on items from the NASCAR Fine Art Collection will conclude on Oct. 24.

Additional On Time auctions happening now include the Corvette Model Kits & Promo Models Collection of 100 exquisite scaled-down replicas that originally served to ignite the imagination of prospective car buyers and collectors alike. These meticulously composed miniatures were precision-crafted artworks that rose to popularity in the 1950s, ‘60s and early ‘70s, capturing the essence of full-sized automobiles and helping to convince both consumers and enthusiasts to take the first step toward acquiring their dream car. Fast forward to the present day, and the fascinating allure of these small marvels is revived through this special On Time auction that promises to transport bidders back in time and celebrate a golden era of automotive history. The offering closes on Oct. 31.

The Allure of Speed Collection encompasses a broad selection of limited edition lithographs and other fine art prints, many which are signed by the artists who created them or the race car drivers featured in the pieces, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Dan Gurney, Mario Andretti, Alain Prost, Niki Lauda and more. The collection closes on Nov. 21 and is highlighted by an authentic reproduction of an original illustration that is numbered 65 of 850 produced and signed by artist Alan Fearnley and driver Ayrton Senna.

Also live at Mecum On Time is the Autumn Harvest: Scale Model Tractor Auction, a selection of collectible scale-model tractors that includes 62 lots and closes on Nov. 28.

Mecum On Time has hosted 40 timed online auctions in 2023 with many additions scheduled for the remainder of the year and into 2024. All items are offered at no reserve.
