Brescia’s famous Freccia Rossa has never been just about distance—it’s about doing the journey properly. In Florida, that recipe is proving remarkably portable. The second edition of 1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida has wrapped up after three packed days of competition and camaraderie, drawing an international crowd, a full-spectrum entry list (from pre-’57 icons to modern supercars), and—crucially—thousands of spectators turning out to watch the convoy sweep through the Sunshine State.

A three-day road movie with timing clocks

Run from 20–23 February, the event put more than 60 crews onto a route designed to blend speed-minded challenge with postcard scenery and Italian-style pageantry. Entries were split into three classes:

  • 1000 Miglia Originals (1927–1957)
  • Classic Icons (up to 1994)
  • Hyper/Supercars (1995–present)

It began, fittingly, with preparation rather than spectacle: a Training Day at the Hyper Club Evaluation Center & Johnny Böhmer Proving Grounds in Naples (Florida), before the ceremonial tone was set at an inaugural dinner hosted at the Revs Institute, home to the Miles Collier Collections.

The route: Naples to Ocean Drive, with Sebring in the middle

From there, the competitive running unfolded across three legs:

Leg 1: Naples → Venice (Sarasota County) → Tampa
Venice doubled as a celebration stop—this year marking the town’s centenary—before the crews pressed on toward Tampa.

Leg 2: Lakeland → Sebring International Raceway → West Palm Beach
Lakeland’s lake-filled scenery gave way to one of the event’s loudest highlights: a track session at Sebring, adding a shot of circuit intensity to the otherwise open-road rhythm. The overnight finish was in West Palm Beach.

Leg 3: Miami Beach (Ocean Drive) → Coral Gables finale
The finish delivered maximum theatre—rolling down Ocean Drive beneath the Art Deco skyline, before the closing ceremony in Coral Gables.

If you want a snapshot of how the event is landing with the public, the organisers singled out three fan hot-spots: Centennial Park in Venice, Lake Mirror Promenade in Lakeland, and Ocean Drive in Miami Beach—all turned into impromptu grandstands as spectators lined the route.

Results: classics, icons, and a supercar sprint to the top

For all the lifestyle gloss, this is still a timed competition—and the winners underline the breadth of machinery that makes the Florida edition so watchable.

  • 1000 Miglia Originals: Bruno Ricci & Gustavo Gallo in a 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster.
The Argentine crew also picked up a standout reward: a guarantee of acceptance to the 1000 Miglia 2027, the centenary year.
  • Classic Icons: Bruce & Harrison Roch in a 1950 Jaguar XK120.
  • Hyper/Supercars: Fabrizio Macario & Giovanna Di Costanzo in a 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider.

It’s a results sheet that reads like a rolling museum exhibit colliding with modern performance—exactly the kind of contrast that makes the “Experience” format work on American roads.

Why it matters: a confident step in the Red Arrow’s global story

The organisers describe the Florida event as a key part of the Red Arrow’s international push—an American stage that pairs European heritage with a distinctly U.S. sense of scale and spectacle.
And the proof is in the atmosphere: a moving car show, a competitive rally, and a cultural road trip—stitched together by one of motorsport’s most recognisable icons.

What’s next for 1000 Miglia in 2026

Florida may be done, but the calendar is already rolling:

  • Coppa delle Alpi St. Moritz Edition: 12–15 March (the winter event, and first round of the Italian Grand Events Championship).
  • 1000 Miglia Experience Italy 2026 (Puglia): 9–12 April.
