RUF Automobile, manufacturer of bespoke supercars and restomod classics, has announced a program for all Porsche 964 models.
First introduced in 1990, the RCT is based on the Porsche 964 platform and features an air-cooled 3.6 liter flat-six, single turbocharged engine. The current generation, known as the RCT Evo, is available in either wide or narrow body style and could optionally be ordered with a full carbon fiber skin.
The RCT starts at €350,000 plus the donor car cost and boasts 425 hp and 570 nm of torque from its RUF turbocharged 3.6 liter air-cooled flat-six engine.
The RUF RCT’s optional carbon fiber body is shaped for better aerodynamics and less weight, while optional carbon-ceramic brakes, center-lock wheels and an integrated roll cage complete the package.
“While the technology has evolved since 1990, the formula for a fun car has not,” said Estonia Ruf of RUF Automobile. “The RCT takes that formula and turns up the dial.” The car has the same feeling you might expect from a 964, but with more power and less weight for a higher over-all performance. The recipe didn’t change, the ingredients just got better.”
The RUF RCT occupies its place among the RUF modern classic lineup, a selection of restomod cars available for special order. RUF restomod cars bear a Porsche VIN and are converted to RUF specs, including engine, transmission, body and interior improvements. The company also offers chassis modification options. RUF provides restomod services on Porsche models from the 356 through the 993-generation 911.
