At the 2022 edition of the Monterey Car Week, Pagani Automobili celebrates the Year of the “R”, the Italian Atelier’s vehicles designed for the track.
The annual meeting, one of the most anticipated automobile events in the world, held in California from August 13th to August 21st, is not to be missed this year due to a very impressive presence by Pagani Automobili.
Starting Friday, August 19th, from 10 am to 4 pm, the year of the “R” will be celebrated at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, with a stunning collection of Pagani R vehicles: a line-up of timeless, one-of-a-kind cars that live at the intersection of Art & Science – Leonardo da Vinci’s principle that inspires the philosophy of Horacio Pagani – together with Passion and Performance. A total of 10 cars will be displayed: 2 Huayra Rs, the car “sculpted in performance”; 3 Zonda Rs; a Zonda Revolución; one of the five Pagani Imolas in the world; a Huayra BC Coupé “Tempesta” version; a Huayra Roadster BC and a Huayra Tricolore, the car made only in three examples, dedicated to the Frecce Tricolori – the Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team.
On August 19th at 1.30 pm at The Quail, Horacio Pagani will be the protagonist of a “Fireside Chat”, during which the Pagani Automobili founder will be discussing the inspiration and creative process behind the development of a Pagani Hypercar together with John Hennessy – founder of MIPS Technologies and former president of Stanford University – and Gordon Murray – designer of Formula One racing cars and the McLaren F1 road car. Famed car collector Gordon McCall will be moderating the panel.
Saturday, August 20th, will be a momentous day for the brand from San Cesario as the Huayra R will make its US debut on the track in an exhibition during the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion expected from 10:45 am – 11:00 am. After this exciting performance, at 12:30 pm, Horacio Pagani will be glad to welcome fans and enthusiasts and sign autographs at the Pagani Pop-Up Store in the paddock: an exclusive boutique with the latest collection of apparel, scale models, and accessories made with the same quality and attention to details used for the brand’s Hypercars.
On Sunday, August 21st, a special event will be held for Pagani clients from 9:30 am – 3 pm. They will have dedicated track time at the iconic Laguna Seca Raceway: a fully immersive experience on one of the world’s most prestigious racetracks, where they will be able to unleash the horsepower of their Pagani V12 engines. Invited guests will be hosted in a totally new hospitality area dedicated exclusively to Pagani. There will be two separate track sessions from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm and from 12:40 pm-1:50 pm.
Fans will be able to see more than 20 Paganis in the Paddock and more than 10 Paganis, including the Huayra R and the Zonda Revolución, will be on track ready to show the public just what they can do in their natural environment.
