Lamborghini arrived at the Concours of Elegance Germany 2026 with a statement that reached across the full arc of Sant’Agata Bolognese: the emotion of the V12, the drama of Few-Off exclusivity, and the technical direction of a fully hybrid model line-up.
Held July 4-5 at Gut Kaltenbrunn on the shores of Lake Tegernsee, the event marked the German premiere of the Fenomeno Roadster, an open-top Lamborghini created for only 15 clients worldwide. Presented by Lamborghini Munich, the display placed the new Roadster at the center of a carefully assembled story: Lamborghini’s most extreme modern engineering surrounded by the cars that built the legend.
A FEW-OFF ROADSTER FOR THE HYBRID V12 ERA
The Fenomeno Roadster is more than a convertible version of a rare Lamborghini. It is an expression of the brand’s Few-Off philosophy, where limited production, visual theater and technical intensity come together in a car intended to live at the top of the collector world.
Its numbers are appropriately forceful. The Roadster uses a 1,080 CV V12 hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful open-top Lamborghini ever built. Lamborghini quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed above 340 km/h. In a setting known for elegance, the Fenomeno brought the kind of shock value only a flagship Lamborghini can deliver.
OPEN-AIR PERFORMANCE, LAMBORGHINI ATTITUDE
In typical Lamborghini fashion, the Fenomeno Roadster does not rely on understatement. Its surfaces are sharp, technical and visually charged, yet the car’s purpose is not simply to attract attention. It represents how Lamborghini is using electrification to intensify, rather than dilute, the character of its most emotional machines.
The Roadster’s open cockpit adds another layer to that experience. The mechanical sound, the speed, the low seating position and the architectural bodywork all work together to create a car that is meant to be felt as much as studied. At Lake Tegernsee, it became the modern centerpiece of a display that moved from Miura to Countach to Diablo and into the latest hybrid era.
TEMERARIO AND URUS SE FRAME THE NEW LINE-UP
Lamborghini also used the German concours to show the breadth of its current hybrid range. The Fenomeno Roadster was joined by the Temerario and Urus SE, giving guests a clear view of where the brand is headed across super sports car and Super SUV segments.
The Temerario introduces a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, producing more than 920 CV and revving to 10,000 rpm. The Urus SE brings plug-in hybrid power to Lamborghini’s Super SUV formula with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, an electric motor and a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery for 800 CV and 950 Nm of torque. At Gut Kaltenbrunn, selected guests could also experience Lamborghini’s electrified models through on-site test drives.
V12 HERITAGE ON THE LAWN
The modern display was balanced by a significant heritage presence. Lamborghini brought together V12 icons including the Miura, Countach and Diablo, each representing a different era of ambition and transformation.
The Miura drew particular attention as it celebrates its 60th anniversary, while the uncompromising Miura SV marks its 55th. When the Miura debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966, it established the template for the modern super sports car with a transversely mounted mid-engine V12 inspired by motorsport. That configuration and that sense of drama became inseparable from Lamborghini’s identity.
The Countach carried that identity into a new visual language beginning in 1974, becoming the dream car of generations and remaining in production for 16 years. It also marked an important internal milestone: Lamborghini’s first car with bodywork produced entirely in-house and interiors crafted by the company’s own Upholstery Department. The Diablo then pushed the story into the 1990s, breaking the 325 km/h barrier and recording 337 km/h at Nardo with its 5.7-liter V12.
POLO STORICO AND THE VALUE OF CONTINUITY
The historic cars shown at the Concours of Elegance Germany came from private collections, with Lamborghini Polo Storico representing the stewardship behind the brand’s most important models. Established in 2015, Polo Storico preserves the company archives, performs restoration work and provides Certification of Authenticity services for historically significant Lamborghinis.
That continuity matters. The Fenomeno Roadster’s presence becomes more meaningful when seen against the Miura, Countach and Diablo. The design language has changed, the technology has changed, and electrification now forms part of Lamborghini’s performance vocabulary. But the underlying mission remains recognizable: build cars that create emotion first and become icons later.
THE SPEED JOURNAL PERSPECTIVE
For The Speed Journal, Lamborghini’s Lake Tegernsee display worked because it did not isolate the new car from the brand’s past. The Fenomeno Roadster stood as the latest Few-Off expression, but the surrounding V12 legends gave it context. The result was not just a product appearance; it was a reminder of how Lamborghini builds desire across generations.
At a concours defined by elegance, Lamborghini brought something more combustible: rarity, sound, color, power and a future that still speaks fluent Sant’Agata.
