A record number of Pagani UK hypercars were present at this year’s Festival of Speed, held last weekend within the grounds of the Earl of March’s Goodwood Estate.

The sell-out crowd of 200,000+ enthusiastic spectators at the Festival were treated to the distinctive sights and sounds of two Pagani models being seen in action for the very first time in public, both tackling the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb with dazzling enthusiasm and aplomb.

The first of these was the Pagani Huayra BC – named in honour of Benny Caiola, Horacio Pagani’s first customer – making its world dynamic debut at the Festival of Speed. When launched in 2011, the Pagani Huayra Coupe marked a new era of hypercars, becoming the gold standard and raising the bar for lightweight build and innovative performance-based technology. This formidable combination earned the Huayra Coupe the most accolades in the automobile industry, second only to the Pagani Zonda.

The 764 bhp Huayra BC that dynamically debuted at Goodwood is a natural evolution, raw power packaged into a 1,218 kg high-performance automobile, and capable of the highest lateral acceleration ever seen on a car with road tyres at 1.8 G. Valuable experience and knowledge gained from relentless testing on the road and the toughest circuits of the world enabled Pagani Automobili to build a solid technical premise from which to base all research and development.

Entered by Pagani UK, the Huarya BC was joined at Goodwood by the one-off Zonda Oliver Evolution, the very last 760 edition of the Zonda, made in 2016. This unique Pagani is based on the 760 RS model, and unlike other special edition Zondas, this bespoke 760 derivative of this iconic Italian pure-breed hypercar has a special design rear spoiler, engineered to generate maximum downforce to give ultimate grip.

When not tackling the challenging 1.16-mile (1.86 km) Festival of Speed Hillclimb course, both the Huayra BC and Zonda 760 Oliver Evolution could be closely inspected in Goodwood’s Supercar Paddock, with the Pagani UK team on hand to answer any questions and share their knowledge and infectious enthusiasm.

Away from the hillclimb action, Pagani UK also organised an early (2002) example of an exceedingly rare right-hand-drive Pagani Zonda C12S to grace the calm and tranquil Cartier lawn as part of popular ‘Hypercar’ class of the annual Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ concours d’elegance.

Members of the exclusive Goodwood Road and Racing Club (GRRC) were also greeted by a stunning yellow Zonda C12S Roadster located at the main entrance to the GRRC’s Kinrara Pavilion, where other Festival of Speed visitors could also see and admire the bright metallic yellow Zonda from afar. A one-off Zonda PS completed the Pagani presence within the 2017 Festival of Speed, with a couple of Pagani models also drawing enthusiastic attention in the dedicated Goodwood ‘Performance Parking’ zone.

Commenting on its presence at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Christine Clarkin, Pagani UK’s Dealer Principal said, “We were really delighted to be involved with the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, and to be one of the many amazing attractions at this world-leading, must-attend event.” She added “It was very rewarding to meet with so many keen, appreciative and knowledgeable enthusiasts at the event, especially rewarding was their appreciation of art and design meeting engineering excellence. The many excited and positive comments about our Pagani models was very gratifying to hear.”
