Mansory and Philipp Plein have turned the Star Trooper into a Pickup! This is not just any AMG G63, but one that is modified from head to toe. It features a new pickup flatbed, radical widebody design, camo paintwork, huge engine upgrades, a crazy exhaust system and a full new interior. Only 7 will ever be made, let’s take a first look and experience it behind the wheel!

The first of the 7 units was due to be presented at the 2020 Geneva Motorshow prior to the cancellation of the exhibition, however we can visit it now at the Mansory HQ in Germany. Named the Star Trooper, this take on the G63 has extensive upgrades internally and out. The engine itself is the 4.0l Biturbo V8 but with new turbos, downpipes and upgraded ECU to take the 585PS and 850nm as standard up to 850PS and 1000nm. The body of the car is wider and more aggressive with the side exit new exhaust system, and completely painted with the grey camo design by Philipp Plein. Inside the seats and surfaces are all retrimmed with new stitching and materials, while of course the rear section is removed to make way for the pickup bed out back.

After taking a tour of the car outside the showroom at Mansory’s HQ in Brand, Germany, I have the opportunity to take it out for a first ever drive to enjoy the sound and experience that it offers.

Thanks for watching, Tim
