Among an earth-shattering lineup of 600 amazing classic and collector cars set to cross the auction block this Aug. 16-19 at Mecum’s Daytime Auction in Monterey, California, is a handful of unparalleled automotive archetypes, including a one-of-two 2010 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita (Lot S94) previously owned by undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
With just 1,947 miles on the odometer, the stunning Koenigsegg from the Ash Crest Collection is certain to be one of the most talked-about attractions of Mecum’s 2017 Daytime Auction with an estimate of $2.7 to $3 million, but the list of show-stoppers goes on. Among them are two Ferrari LaFerraris, including a 2014 with just 565 miles and a 2015 with just 209, the latter of which is estimated to sell for $4.5 to $4.7 million. Another complementary pairing to cross the block is a set of Bugatti Veyrons, including a 2015 Grand Sport Vitesse edition expected to bring $2.7 to $3 million. For the enthusiasts raring to hit the track, a one-of-24 2016 Aston Martin Vulcan and a 2007 Maserati MC12 Corsa are among the most impressive race-ready offerings; each of the two vehicles is expected to hammer for somewhere in the range of $2.3 to $2.7 million.
Other blue-chip vehicles to be offered include a 1958 Lister-Jaguar “Knobbly”, a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose, a 2015 McLaren P1, a 2017 Ferrari F12tdf, a 1977 Porsche 935 Factory Race Car and a 2003 Ferrari Enzo, to name just a small sample.
Mecum’s Daytime Auction in Monterey is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is available online in advance for $100, $200 after auction start, and includes admission for two to each auction day. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online once the auction begins; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open daily at 8 a.m. with the vehicle auction beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and at 10 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Portions of the auction will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network with a live stream of the entire auction presented at Mecum.com.
