Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) is celebrating a hugely successful inaugural Mono Ice Driving Experience trip, having hit the frozen lakes of Sweden in three of its One-of-a-Kind Mono supercars.

A true British success story, BAC has achieved worldwide acclaim and success for the brilliance of its driver-focused Mono and has exported in to 30 territories around the globe so far.

Even so, the Liverpool-based company is more connected with its clients than any other supercar manufacturer and is forever giving back to those who gave the brand its phenomenal stature. Taking to the ice in Åre, west Sweden, is one of many ways BAC is repaying its loyal customers.

Despite battling intense cold weather, the three Mono performed amazingly well on the ice and BAC came away having achieved its ultimate goal: giving its clients the raw Mono experience and having plenty of fun along the way.

Drivers of various walks of life and skill levels headed to Åre, but thanks to the expert advice from Co-Founders Neill and Ian Briggs and Drive Team Leader Oliver Webb, all attendees were drifting like pros when it was time to say goodbye.

The Mono is renowned for being one of the most accessible cars on the planet, and how quickly guests leaned to take the perfect drifting line in a corner is testament to exactly that.

When Ian and Neill Briggs formed BAC back in 2011, they did so with a vision of making a car that focuses solely on the person behind the wheel – one that puts the enjoyment back into driving and completely connects you with the road.

But there was more to the Briggs brothers’ desires than crafting complex and world-conquering machinery; they wanted to share their journey with friends and allow them to reap the benefits of their creation, too.

BAC Co-Founder and Director of Product Development, Neill Briggs, said: “The first Mono Experience trip was an overwhelming success. Our clients are considered our friends, and we are so happy that they became part of a very exclusive club of Mono drivers to have hit the ice. Spirits were high for the duration of the trip and we’re very excited for the next phase of giving back to our loyal customers.”

Co-Founder and Design Director Ian added: “What a fantastic experience it was for us in Sweden and the absolute perfect setting for the Mono. The blue skies, the white snow – it’s exhilarating before you even start to move. We had helicopter rides, snow mobile tours and built an even closer relationship with our customers. I still remember imagining what it would be like to drive the car long before it even existed; and every time I drive it I get that feeling – especially in an environment you haven’t driven before. It’s a wonderful feeling.”

BAC will showcase the Mono lifestyle again in May this year, when it will take clients to the Isle of Man for a scintillating, no-holds-barred festival of Mono fun.
