Pagani has never been content to let a hypercar tell its story through performance figures alone. Its most memorable creations reveal as much about their owners as they do about the people who engineer and build them. The new Huayra 70 Anima takes that philosophy to an unusually intimate level.

Announced for its world premiere at Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, Anima completes a three-car Huayra 70 collection within Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni program. The occasion will also bring all three cars together for the first time, alongside 40 other rare and distinctive Paganis.

Three Cars, One Singular Occasion

The Huayra 70 project celebrates Horacio Pagani’s 70th birthday through three individually commissioned automobiles. The Anima follows the Derecho, previously revealed at Goodwood, but its identity is unmistakably its own: a study in craftsmanship, color and the emotional connection between a customer and the atelier.

Pagani says the third and final commission was shaped through more than a year of dialogue with its owner. Designer Lorenzo Kerkoc and the team sought to understand the client’s memories, personality and childhood dream of creating a special automobile with Horacio Pagani. The result was named Anima—Italian for “soul.”

The Las Vegas gathering is particularly fitting. The three-car reunion offers a rare opportunity to see how one underlying philosophy can give rise to three distinct interpretations without reducing individuality to an option sheet. For Pagani, a commission is not a collection of finishes; it is a collaboration.

A Study in Blue, Carbon and Precious Metal

Anima’s exposed carbon-fiber bodywork carries a dual-tone clear finish in Custom Metallic Light Blue and Custom Inky Blue. Diamond dust is incorporated into both colors to lend the surfaces an unusual luminosity. A principal stripe is made from hand-applied platinum leaf, worked to produce a distinctive texture; a second stripe plays light blue against deeper blue.

Look closer and the detailing becomes even more intricate. Diamond-cut wheels wear Inky Blue centers with Las Vegas Blue rims. The brake calipers are chrome, selected aluminum pieces receive silver anodizing, and components beneath the bodywork carry Tricolore Blue and Argentina Light Blue finishes. These are details that reward a second look rather than demand attention from across a room.

Even the rearview mirrors continue the exterior color theme. The effect is not subtle in a conventional sense, yet it feels coherent: a palette guided by one client’s vision and completed with the discipline of a master craftsman.

A Cockpit Built Around the Human Touch

The interior changes the mood without abandoning the theme. Beige and milk-colored leather meet exclusive Loro Piana fabric, while Inky Blue exposed carbon fiber surrounds the instruments and flows across the cabin. Pagani reserves Custom Metallic Light Blue—with its diamond-dust finish—for touchpoints including the steering wheel and manual shift knob.

The exposed gear selector and the deeply sculptural instrumentation are more than decorative theater. They reinforce a mechanical experience in an era of increasingly filtered interfaces. Motifs inspired by the flags of Argentina and Las Vegas add a quieter personal signature to the composition.

The Mechanical Soul Is Still a V12

Behind the artistry is a serious driving machine. The technical specification lists a 5,980cc twin-turbocharged V12 developed for Pagani by Mercedes-AMG, producing 864 HP (635 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque from 2,800 to 5,900 rpm. Crucially, it is paired with a seven-speed manual gearbox by Xtrac, sending power to the rear wheels through an electromechanical self-locking differential.

The central monocoque combines Carbon-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62, with chrome-molybdenum steel subframes and carbon-fiber body panels. Double-wishbone suspension and electronically adjustable, interconnected dampers work with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Pagani quotes an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (217.5 mph).

The Art of Making Something Personal

Anima’s rear view brings the design language into sharp focus: muscular haunches, sculpted air passages, an assertive wing and a six-pipe exhaust system finished in white ceramic. It is undeniably a Pagani, yet the finishing choices make it impossible to confuse with another owner’s car.

The Grandi Complicazioni division exists for precisely this kind of project—one-off and few-off automobiles shaped around an individual idea of beauty. The engineering may be world-class, but the journey starts with listening. That distinction matters in a segment where exclusivity can too easily become a production number.

Horacio Pagani describes the guiding ambition as a search for harmony between form and function, intellect and craftsmanship. In Anima, that balance is expressed through unexpected materials, deliberate mechanical engagement and a story that began long before the car itself.

The completed Huayra 70 trio is a celebration of an extraordinary milestone. But Anima makes a more enduring point: the rarest automobiles are not necessarily the ones with the highest specifications. They are the ones that could not have been created for anyone else.
