The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider hardly arrives short on drama. A naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 sits beneath its long hood, the roof disappears at the touch of a button, and 830 CV are delivered without turbochargers or hybrid assistance. For NOVITEC, the opportunity was less about reinventing Ferrari’s newest front-engine flagship and more about turning up the elements that already make it special.

Sound may be the most convincing place to start.
NOVITEC has developed a high-performance exhaust specifically for the 12Cilindri’s V12, available in stainless steel or lightweight INCONEL. Active butterfly valves allow the exhaust note to move from relatively restrained to decidedly less so, and with the Spider’s roof down, the difference becomes an especially important part of the experience. Sports catalysts are also available, while the INCONEL system can be specified with 999 fine-gold plating for improved heat management.

The visual changes follow the same measured approach. High-gloss exposed carbon is used throughout the car, beginning with a new front lip spoiler and surrounds for the air intakes. Carbon treatments continue across the hood outlets, front-fender trim, mirror caps and rocker panels, while a three-piece rear lip spoiler and matching diffuser complete the aerodynamic package.

Rather than overwhelm Ferrari’s original shape, the additions give it a little more definition—and a noticeably more planted appearance.
Much of that stance comes from the new NOVITEC NF12 forged wheels, developed with Vossen and shown here for the first time on the Spider. Their five-spoke Y-pattern design incorporates a centerlock-style hub cover, with a staggered 21-inch front and 22-inch rear setup. The fronts measure 10Jx21 with 275/35 ZR21 tires, while 12Jx22 rear wheels carry 325/30 ZR22 rubber.

NOVITEC sport springs bring the body approximately 30 millimeters closer to the pavement, lowering the center of gravity while filling the wheel arches more convincingly.
Under the hood, NOVITEC has wisely resisted the temptation to make the headline about a big horsepower number. The naturally aspirated V12 remains the centerpiece, with the emphasis instead placed on breathing, soundtrack and presentation. Exposed-carbon engine-bay panels and matching air-filter housings provide the finishing touches when the hood is raised.

That restraint may be what makes the package work.
The 12Cilindri Spider was already designed around something increasingly rare: a large-displacement, naturally aspirated V12 experienced with nothing between its exhaust note and the open air. NOVITEC simply gives that formula a lower stance, sharper detailing and, most importantly, a louder voice.
