The Velocity Invitational brings a luxury food, wine and motorsports festival to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif. on November 12-14. The family friendly event features catered local cuisine and food trucks while wine, spirit and champagne pavilions offer samples and signature cocktails. Over 30 vendors will be present at the event, which will also include live entertainment and hospitality venues throughout the weekend.
“The Velocity Invitational is about more than just the cars. We put together an event that is approachable and fun for everyone. We created an environment where visitors will find and enjoy things they are passionate about and hopefully discover or learn something new along the way. Whether you’re into food, wine or motorsports, we have something for you.” – event founder Jeff O’Neill
In the Sip & Savor pavilion Presented by Taylor Farms, wine tastings are provided by labels like Robert Hall and Bernardus, while artwork by former Formula 1 driver Stefan Johansson adorns the walls. The pavilion also has excellent views of the racetrack from the outside of turn three. Blackened Whiskey, a brand created by the band Metallica, also has tastings at the event with the car collection of Metallica frontman James Hetfield on display courtesy of the Petersen Automotive Museum.
The event features curated displays in 65,000 square feet of tented structure across 124,000 square feet of turf, all surrounded by more than a mile of white picket fences. There are family seating areas where kids can play with lawn games and their parents can relax with a drink in the shade, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
Guests under the age of 15 get free entry when accompanied by a parent or guardian and former and active members of the military will receive free entry on Friday, November 12 in honor of Veterans Day. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit velocityinvitational.com.
