RECARO Automotive, the premium seat manufacturer, announces today it is celebrating its 60th anniversary in France, where it will pay tribute to another milestone in the world of motorsports: the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. RECARO and Le Mans’ histories have been intertwined through the decades, as countless entrants in the iconic endurance contest have competed in RECARO seats.
As a fitting tribute to the race on its 100th anniversary, RECARO Automotive is introducing its latest in seating technology with the production of a limited-edition 24H Le Mans version of the new RECARO Podium GF performance shell – an official licensed product of 24H Le Mans. This partnership was brokered by Le Mans’ exclusive licensing agency IMG.
The Podium GF is a state-of-the-art, street-legal, FIA-approved, glass-fiber shell offered with two degrees of padding—20mm for the GF M, intended for medium-build drivers and 10mm for the GF L, designed for larger-build drivers.
The RECARO Podium GF 24H Le Mans features blue leather, black microfiber, and white stitching, with the 24H Le Mans logo on the seat padding and backrest. It will be available this summer in Germany with an MSRPA at €3324.

SIM Racers Join the Celebration
While the RECARO Podium GF 24H Le Mans will undoubtedly enhance the driving experience for its lucky owners, sim racers are also afforded the opportunity to get in on the celebration. The RECARO SIM Pro Star will also be offered in a limited-edition 24H Le Mans trim featuring blue leather accents, black cushioning, and the 24H Le Mans insignia on both the padded backrest and outer shell. It will be available in the US this summer and will carry an MSRP of $1095.

Fans attending the 24 Hours of Le Mans may visit the RECARO booth in the Village, where the RECARO Podium GF 24H Le Mans will be introduced by two-time 24H Le Mans winners Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard and be on display for the duration of the race week. Fans can come to see Romain Dumas at the RECARO booth at 12:00 pm on June 9th. And later Friday, see Timo at 6:00 pm (18:00) at the RECARO booth. Guests will also see and experience the RECARO SIM Pro Star 24H Le Mans edition at the booth.
Exclusive RECARO Automotive merchandise in the Classic, Dynamic and Race product lines will be available for purchase at the booth. The RECARO Automotive booth at Le Mans will be open to visitors from Tuesday, June 6 to the conclusion of the race on Sunday, June 11.
