Both my Ford GT and Focus RS Heritage Edition are off for their second services, but how much do these things actually cost? For servicing and maintenance, you might be quite surprised how it works out. With a host of errands to complete, the Red RS also appears in a busy Ford day!

With the Shmeemobiles soon to move to a new home and garage, I’m being organised with a few things including some services like dropping the Heritage Edition RS off at the local Ford dealership. Now that it is 2 years old, it’s being serviced on schedule despite only having driven 5,000 miles so far, and just over 1,000 in the last year. This seemed like the perfect opportunity however to also pull out the Ford GT for a drive to discuss it a little further, while also moving around the project Red RS too.

Believe it or not, the costs behind the Ford GT are actually very reasonable and carried out by dedicated Ford teams. As usual the car comes with a 3 year warranty although there is no confirmation yet on the price to extend when the time comes, but outside of that the typical running costs apply like annual tax, parking, insurance etc. The latter however, coming in at quite a surprise at the other end of the spectrum…

Thanks for watching, Tim
