The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering returns to the greens of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club on August 16 to celebrate the past and future of automotive design. The renowned event will include exclusive unveilings from the biggest automotive brands, over 200 vintage and modern vehicles on display and lavish cuisine and events in a garden-party like setting.
Four featured classes will take center stage at this year’s event, including the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 911 Turbo (930), the 30th Anniversary of Koenigsegg Automotive, 100 Years of MG and a tribute to world rally cars.
The iconic Porsche and Koenigsegg brands will be among the celebrated marques honored at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The Porsche 911 Turbo (930) was Porsche’s top 911 model from 1975 to 1989 and was the fastest production car available in Germany at the time of its release. Koenigsegg was started with the intention of creating a world-class hypercar. By pushing the boundaries of automotive technology, the brand has produced popular models known for optimal performance and ultra-luxurious designs, including the CCX, Agera and Jesko.
The Quail will also celebrate 100 years of MG with a tribute to the popular British marque, as well as a salute to the high-horsepower machines from the World Rally Championship.

The event will also feature eight traditional classes, including Custom Coach Work, Pre-War Sports and Racing Cars, Post-War Sports Cars from different eras, Post-War Racing Cars, Sports and Racing Motorcycles, the Evolution of the Supercar and the Great Ferraris.
Over the past 20 years, The Quail has become the jewel of Monterey Car Week. Guests of the highly anticipated event will enjoy an elegant outdoor experience featuring themed food pavilions full of epicurean delights, award-winning wine vendors and live music. The Fireside Chat Series invites attendees to hear from industry and motorsports leaders and icons about the future of their favorite brands and car collecting. Admission also includes an invitation to attend the Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction, the longest-running auction held during Monterey Car Week.
